30B North St. - Canton Public Schools

Attorney Paul Matthews and Dr. Bob Barker, School Committee members, came
before the Board representing petitioner.

Dr. Barker explained that the construction for the project at the high school has
begun. Because of that, they will need to park five school buses and three maintenance
vehicles off-site for a temporary period. He stated they would be parked only overnight
and not during the day. The site at 30B North Street would accommodate their needs.
They are asking for a temporary permit for a period of one year. He stated they received
approval from the Fire Chief for this request.

Mr. Fitzgerald requested a letter be submitted to the Board from the owner of the
premises at 30B North Street stating he is in agreement with the parking request.

Mr. Panda inquired as to what type of lighting is present at the site for security
reasons.

Dr. Barker stated they feel the existing lighting is sufficient.

Mr. Fitzgerald moved the petition of Canton Public Schools for a temporary
permit for a period of one year from date of decision so as to store five school buses and
three maintenance vehicles on the property at 30B North Street, be granted with the
condition the Board reserves the right to amend, modify or revoke the approval if any
problems arise. The move was seconded and the Board voted unanimously to approve.
