Dear Chairman Connolly,
The Board of Health is i.n receipt of proposed plates to d.eznolish the existing dwelling at
274 Mecb.anic Street and do construct 2 new dwcllin.gs an ille site. It is the understanding
of this Board that th.e new dwellings will be connected to public r~~ater and, public sewer.
Accordi.r~gly, the Board of 1-lealth has no public health concerns wit11 this plan at this
time. Further, the demolition of the decaying dwelling currently on the property will help
eliminate the emergent public health. nuisance developing fron~ tlae abandoned structure.
Accordingly, the Board of Health f nds no public health issues with, the consb~uction of
the two new dwellings and supports the expedited d,cmolition of the abandoned structure
currently occupying the site.
