GENERAL DISCUSSION
John Marini Rockland Street (AMOOC) DEP 124 -970
Represented by John Rhoads of Norwood Engineering
Amended Order of Conditions will need to be readvertised, due to significant change in drainage.
Mr. Rhoads explained to ConCom that after lengthy discussion with Town engineer and Conservation Agent
Robert Murphy that there is a significant change in drainage of Flood storage compared to original Notice of
Intent that was filed. Amended Order of Conditions were to include changes to site grading, sidewalk locations
and materials, emergency fire access road and modified compensatory flood storage. During field changes
which were minor but didn't meet the compliance standards established in Town of Canton's Wetland Bylaw.
Changes include:
1. Location change and material change for walkways associated with the duplex unit at 25 Rockland
Street. Material change was brick pavers to cement concrete.
2. Material change for walkway along easterly face of the 16 — unit building from brick pavers to cement
concrete.
3. Sidewalk and curbing added at the driveway entrance on the property of 515 Washington St. Realty
Trust.
4. Fire lane was modified. Original plan proposed a 14 foot wide fire lane to run from the end of pavement
at the building's north face along the easterly landscaped area and out to a paved private way on land of
Pine Realty Trust. Now proposed to provide three access points to the easterly face of the building. First
access will be an extension from the current access drive adjacent to the electrical transformer.
5. Two additional gravel surface fire access points that are partially constructed from the private way on
Pine Realty Trust property. Access points will require fine grading and compacting, these access points
have been approved by Canton Fire Department.
6. Compensatory flood storage requirements are proposed to construct an open storage area at on the west
bank of Massapoag Brook immediately up gradient of twin culverts. Area will provide compensatory
storage from elevation 96 to 99.
