Chairman Carroll opened the meeting at 7:03 pm, read the agenda and continuation dates 
of pending hearings.

Locate a telecommunication facility on a monopole tower to include 12 panel antennas, 6 
remote radioheads, 2 junction boxes on centerline at 58'on an existing 70ft tower. 
Chairman Carroll reads the petition. This is in a Limited Industrial District. There are 5+ 
acres at this site. John Weaver, the Attorney for Verizon, represented the Petitioner. He 
is from McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton in NH. Others from the site acquisition 
group are also in attendance. This is a pre- existing monopole which received approval in 
2010. Atty. Weaver explains location and operations, it is run remotely. The equipment 
shelter requires more space, and a fence will enclose the whole area. It is 108ft from 
property line to North, to the W it is 5ft. this was permitted in 2010. (he references a by- 
law section that is no longer correct due to changes in the by -law). There is nothing /no 
one nearby to notice the expansion, there is the commuter rail, beyond that is a sliver of 
land, and beyond that is Rt. 95. In 2010 they got a special permit allotted for 1 co- 
locator. Verizon wants to be that co- locator. Chairman Carroll asked if this is the first 
time on this tower, consistent with the 2010 decision? The only visual change is the 
antenna and the enlarged shelter. It is already non - conforming on the side yard. 
Provision in By -Laws that allows encroachment to side yard, extending non - conforming. 
Are you keeping same distance along the property line, away from Residential district? 
Atty. Weaver said only 1 co- locator, anyone else would need to overthrow the 2010 
decision. Chairman Carroll asked if there was room for more. (YES). The height needs 
to come back to ZBA (due to more antennas, they would have to go above existing). Mr. 
Marini asked how far out they are from the pole (4 FT) What is the closest building to 
that tower. On the same lot? (YES. 300 -400ft AWAY). Mr. Feeney asked if this was a 
new location for Verizon? (YES). You are not moving from another Canton location? 
(NO). Atty. Weaver explains a coverage site which is land with no road. Then there is a 
capacity site, which has more traffic. He explains using a phone in your car, you use 
many different towers. Mr. Feeney asked if this was a long term contract (YES, 5 yrs.
