TOWN OF CANTON PLANNING BOARD MEETING WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 20, 2014 SALAH MEETING ROOM X7:00 P.M. TOWN HALL Present: Jeremy Comeau, Chairman Michael Mitcheroney, Clerk George Jenkins Also present: Thomas Houston, Professional Services Corporation Karen Lawlor, Planning Board Administrative Assistant Chairman Jeremy Comeau called to order the Planning Board meeting of August 20, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. and introduced Charlie Doody, Fire Chief; Ed Walsh, Building Inspector; Cynthia O'Connell, Conservation Agent; Deb Sundin, Chairman of the Conservation Commission; and Steve Landry, Member of the Conservation Commission. Mr. Comeau explained that all three (3) hearings scheduled for tonight have been continued: 1183 Washington Street - CANAL Properties, LLC (Definitive Subdivision Plans) has been continued until September 3, 2014; Stonewood Realty Trust (17 Stonewood Drive) has been continued until September 17, 2014; and Indian Way -Top Notch Development, LLC, has been continued until further notice. FIRST ITEM ON THE AGENDA - WORKSHOP: RULES & REGULATIONS. Mr. Comeau explained that the Planning Board Rules and Regulations have not been updated in ten (1o) years. Mr. Houston stated that he has been working on the updating of these Rules & Regulations and he has been trying to expedite this matter. He has reviewed the Fee Schedule and that is pretty standard. We are just updating the technical standards of these rules so no public hearing or town meeting acceptance will be required.
