Teachers Meeting Room
Present: Victor Del Vecchio, Chairman, Robert E. Burr Jr., Member, Kevin T. Feeney, Member, Mark J.
Porter, Member, William T. Friel, Town Administrator, Jennifer Bright, Administrative Secretary.
Meeting was called to order 6:35 p.m.
It was noted that Mr. Connolly would not be at the meeting due to his recovery from surgery.
Annual Town Meeting Preparation- There was a brief discussion regarding the remaining articles. The
Board was presented also, with a substitute motion that the School Committee had presented to the
Moderator, should Article 12, Motion 10 not pass asking for an increase in the Operating Budget.
There was a discussion concerning the ballot question language and its approval should Article 35 pass
that evening. It was noted that the Town Clerk would need to have the language immediately on the
passage of the article to allow enough time to advertise and prepare for the election, which was now
scheduled to be held on June 23, 2015.
Motion was made, subject to the passage of Article 35, to call for a special election on June 23, 2015 and
to approve the ballot question language as presented to the Board and approved by Town Counsel and
Bond Counsel.
Motion: Mr. Burr Second: Mr. Porter Vote: 4-0
Motion was made to approve an application to obtain (special) license to serve alcoholic beverages at a
one day event for the Massachusetts Hospital School Foundation at 3 Randolph Street on June 18, 2015
from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. contingent upon Building Commissioner and Fire Chief approval.
Motion: Mr. Burr Second: Mr. Porter Vote: 4-0
Motion was made to approve an application to obtain (special) license to serve alcoholic beverages at a
one day event for Trinity Episcopal Church, One Blue Hill River Road on May 30, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to
May 31, 2015 at 12:30 a.m. contingent upon Building Commissioner and Fire Chief approval.
Motion: Mr. Burr Second: Mr. Porter Vote: 4-0
Motion was made to approve the Certificate of Appreciation for Mary Jane Mangan ,recipient of the Dr.
Richard Elkort "Citizen of the Year" award.
Motion: Mr. Burr Second: Mr. Porter Vote: 4-0
Motion was made to appoint Michael McKay, Cian O'Mahoney, Robert DiClalgero, Conor Bogue, and
Michael Doody, as DPW Summer Employees Part Time without benefits.
