Present: John J. Connolly, Chairman, Avril Elkort, Vice-Chairman, Gerald A. Salvatori, 
Jr., Clerk, Robert E. Burr, Jr., Member, Victor D. Del Vecchio, Member, William T. 
Friel, Town Administrator, Jennifer Andrews, Administrative Secretary. 
Meeting was called to order at 7:55 p.m. 
Reservoir Pond Litigation Strategy 
There was a discussion concerning the status of the possible Reservoir Pond litigation. 
The Board authorized Mr. Friel, Town Administrator, to invite Rick Brandstatter, CDP, 
to attend Executive Session on August 23, 2011 to further discuss this matter. The Board 
of Selectmen reiterated its desire to expedite a final decision. Mr. Friel indicated the 
parties remain in dispute over dam improvement design. 
Conservation Agent Contract Renewal 
Mr. Friel noted that it was recommended to change the Conservation Agent from a 
contract consultant to a Town employee. He noted that this was being recommended by 
the Finance Director, Finance Committee and the Town Administrator. Costs of 
employment were identified. 
There was a discussion concerning the Conservation Agents employment status as well as 
his contract. The Board of Selectmen rejected the recommendation of the Town 
Administrator to change the employment status of the Conservation Agent from a 
contract consultant to a town employee. It was requested that final consultant contract be 
finalized and ready for Board of Selectmen signature at the next meeting. 
Motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 8:45 p.m.
