Board of Selectmen 
May 27, 2014 
Memorial Hall - Salah Meeting Room 
Present: Victor D. Del Vecchio, Chairman, Avril T. Elkort, Vice-Chairman, John J. Connolly, Clerk, Robert 
E. Burr, Jr., Member, Gerald A. Salvatori, Jr., Member, William T. Friel, Town Administrator, Jennifer 
Bright, Administrative Secretary. 
Meeting was called to order at 7:35 
Also present was Jody Middleton, Human Resource Administrator. 
There was a discussion concerning the Director of Assessing salary and the staffing in the Assessor's 
office. 
Motion was made to amend the vote taken on May 12, 2014 on the Director of Assessing Position salary 
since Town Administrator Friel's e-mail dated May 13, 2104. The motion included approval of the equity 
adjustment for the Director of Assessing by establishing a new annual salary of $93,017.60 for a 40 hour 
work week/FLSA exempt and then a 2% COLA on July 1, 2014 increasing the salary to $94,877. It also 
included the retention of the part time employee contingent upon the appropriate training of the 
employee and that after trained; this part time employee would only work when a full time Assessing 
AFSCME staff person is present and contingent upon a mutual agreement with AFSCME. Also, the 
revision of the Director's job description to fully detail that all permit responsibilities are that of the 
director including building and personal property.

Motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 8:10 p.m.
