TOWN OF CANTON BOARD OF SELECTMEN MEETING MINUTES JUNE 29, 2017 AT 4:00 PM 801 WASHINGTON ST. CANTON, MA SALAH MEETING ROOM PRESENT: John J. Connolly Kevin T. Feeney Thomas W. Theodore Charles J. Aspinwall, Town Administrator Mr. Connolly called the meeting to order at 4:00 PM. The subject of the meeting being held is to discuss the Gridley School Roof. He asked Mr. Aspinwall to review the matter. Mr. Aspinwall explained that the town had received bids on the Gridley School Roof repair project. The apparent low bidder was Eagle Point Builders of Belmont, MA at $137,752.00. Additional costs the town could incur are construction administration ($2000), and potential contingencies (12,248.00) totaling the project at $152,000. The engineers estimate was approximately $180,000. It is important to get these repairs done before winter as snow load could cause more damage. Mr. Aspinwall asked for permission to submit a reserve fund transfer request to the Finance Committee in the amount of $152,000. Mr. Feeney made a motion to approve a Reserve Fund Transfer request for structural repairs to the Gridley School roof in the amount of $152,000; the motion was seconded by Mr. Theodore: vote 3-0 in favor. At 4:12 PM Mr. Feeney mad a motion to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Theodore: vote 3-0 in favor Respectfully submitted,
