A motion was made by Mr. Panico and seconded by Mr. McCarthy to open Item #1.
Motion Approved 4-0.
First Item on the Agenda (1) 145 SHERMAN STREET (Scenic WatiByLaw
Request/Determination) relative to the removal and relocation of approximately
eighteen (18) feet of existing stone wall, which wall will be saved or rebuilt, to allow the
construction of a driveway for a new single family home, located in the Single Residence C
(Paul Brodmerlde, Site Design)
Paul Brodmerlde introduced himself, along with the Owner, Martin Devane. The Owner of
145 Sherman Street is proposing to build a single family home on a scenic way and we are
here tonight since the Planning Board has jurisdiction over trees and stone walls on Scenic
Ways. This is a unique site since this has an existing overflow drain; drainage ditch; and a
retaining wall. One side of the proposed driveway is at a lower grade. We can't shift the
location of the driveway because of the existing culvert, catch basin, and grove of trees.
Also, the Fire Chief has requested that the opening to the stone wall for the driveway should
be eighteen (18) feet.
