Chairman Pando opens the hearing and reads the petition. Mr. Paul Brodmerkle explains
he is representing the owners. The home was built in 2011 and they have been the only
owners. It was constructed on a lot that was unusually shaped so they had received relief
for frontage and rear yard setbacks. Now they would like to build a deck and will require
relief. The original house was constructed 20' off of the rear yard line. They would like to
construct the deck 9' into that setback. Mr. Brodmerkle states he doesn't believe this is
unusual. This would not be of detriment of any public good. Chairman Pando asks if this is
an open deck. Yes. Chairman Pando concurs the shape of the lot is very unique. This
seems reasonable to him. Mr. McCourt states it is reasonable. The existing deck is small.
As long as neighbors don't have an issue he doesn't. Mr. Armando states he would like to
hear from abutters. Chairman Pando asks if there are any abutters who would like to speak.
Seeing none.
