2. The area of disturbance will exceed 20,000 square feet and a full Permit will be required
by the Conservation Commission. Information should provide:
a. Delineation of total land to be distributed;
b. Delineation of the loo -year flood plain;
c. Location of erosion control practices;
d. Sequence of construction activities; including anticipated dates of soil stabilization
and completion; and
e. Temporary and permanent soil erosion and sediment control measures, including
seeding and other vegetative controls.
3. Comparing predevelopment to post development impervious cover, there is an overall
reduction in impervious cover in the 3o -foot buffer. Comparing the existing conditions
measurably decreases from 32% to 52% which is significantly improved.
4. Pipes located within the proposed right-of-way will be revised to be Reinforced Concrete
Pipe per the Town of Canton Subdivision Standards. The applicant requests a waiver from
Section 8.H.6.a to allow the use of high-density polyethylene pipe within areas privately
owned. The 12 -inch diameter pipe from Infiltration i to OCS-2 is slightly overcapacity;
correct as practicable. HDPE pipe is proposed within private sites (and has been granted for
other projects.)
io. Recommend that the Applicant complete soils tests during the permit process. Lots 4A
and 5A are relatively intensively developed and therefore opportunities to resize the
infiltration structures in order to accommodate changes in soil or groundwater data are
limited. To be more consistent, four (4) or more test pits should be should be completed
before construction.
13. The Rules and Regulations require infiltration of one (i) inch of roof runoff in a separate
infiltration structure. Limiting infiltration to 0.6 inches is provided by the current permit
and should be regarded as sufficient for the modified permit. Due to space limitations, it
may not be practicable to provide a separate roof water infiltration facility. Reconfiguring
the collection pipes routing only the catch basin flows through the isolator row and routing
roof water directly into the Storm Tech units without passing could be provided in lieu of a
separate roof water infiltration facility. To not overtax the system, a separate facility is
needed, and a dual pipe would work. The roof water would go into a separate pipe and
meets the intent.
17. The Stormwater Management Plan should be updated and resubmitted to include the
submission requirements in the Rules & Regulations.
