Trish – approve Minutes from August 24, 2021 meeting

We took a vote and it was unanimous - 4 members voted to approve them. They will be sent to Tracey Kenney for website posting. That website link will be shared with Lien after posting
by Town Hall. It was mentioned and approved that the meeting conversations will be recorded via
the Microsoft Word Dictation feature. This saves time on typing the notes and is more efficient
for reporting topics discussed. It also allows the Secretary to be more of an active participant and focus on the content of the meeting.

Trish – feedback on Zoom interview on Canton Cable TV - In the Spotlight: Massachusetts Cultural Council and Local Canton Cultural Council
We had a successful 45 minute via Zoom interview, now 30 minute program, which is playing on Canton Community Cable TV stations -- ComCast 22 and Verizon 42. HD 2143. Attendees: Timothea
Pham, Pat Cohen, Trish Chane, Joyce Lauro, hosted by Andrea Galvin. Great to have MCC/Timothea on the call. Per the Council members who appeared on the program, we provided a wonderful
representation of our work and did an excellent job. A link to the video is posted to our website: Cultural Council | Canton, MA - Official Website (thanks to Judy Levitsky) and Facebook
page (13) Canton Cultural Council | Facebook (thanks to Lien).
Trish - timeline to approve Minutes
It may be best to try to approve the Minutes as soon as we can after each meeting. If we wait for several meetings from now, it could be a while to remember the details. We are accountable
to the Massachusetts Open Meeting Law which
requires public bodies to create and approve minutes in a timely manner. A “timely manner” is considered to be within the next three public body meetings or 30 days from the date of
the meeting, whichever is later, unless the public body can show good cause for further delay. The Attorney General encourages minutes to be approved at a public body's next meeting
 whenever possible.

Angela - status of Council email account

Angie is working with Town Hall/IT to establish access to the Council email account. That way she can read and respond to the inquiries about the Grants, Volunteering opportunities,
 Council participation etc.

Angela – Canton profile with MCC as related to Direct LCC cycle

The MCC Local Cultural Council FY22 Direct Grant Guidelines were mentioned. There is a Timeline from August to June that is included in the documentation. It would be good to establish
the Calendar with the Council soon so we will all know in advance what is to occur each month as related to the Direct Grant cycle.

Angela – workable meeting dates and times

Afte a group poll, in general, Tuesday nights seem to be the most convenient. The location was discussed and the group thought keeping the Zoom format for now was the safest, given the
current rise of Covid-19 cases in Town. As for time, 7:00 p.m. seemed the most agreeable.

Lien – Facebook posting questions
Lien is working diligently ro keep our Facebook page updated. She presented these questions to the Council for our consideration.

What should to post on our Facebook page – for example meeting photos of the Council?
We decided on print screens of our faces as it would take future planning and appropriate software to create a video version of the meeting conversations.
Post the Meeting Minutes?

Since Tracey Kenney is to post them on the Town website, the suggestion was made to present a link to the Minutes on Facebook. That way 1 version is available on the web.

For the meeting photos, should Lien build a YouTube channel and link to our webpage?

The plan is to take photos at the Farmers Market this Sunday and in the future, consider posting Council videos to YouTube. We plan to ask the MCC Grant recipients to submit a video
of their performances and ask them if we can post that to our Channel.

Pat - Farmer’s Market assignments

List of expected attendees: - Council Members and Guests: Maribeth McCabe, Pat Cohen, Lien Phan, Angie Mouradian, Trish Chane, Janet Cooper, Tom Birmingham. We can attend anywhere from
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and drop-in as our schedule allows. Thanks to Lisa Lopez for her support and sharing ½ her table with us. She is to save space in her brochure to advertise Volunteer
opportunities in the Town including our Council.

Angie/Pat – questions from the public – added to Agenda

Tom Birmingham updated us on the Farmer’s Market plan for Sunday. He plans to apply to the MCC for Grant(s) for the artists who performer there. They have special events every week which
range from music and art related and science related events that he thinks qualify for the guidelines for the cultural grant application. They have 18 weeks of the Market and it doesn't
make sense to apply multiple times. He asked for our guidance on asking his questions to the Massachusetts Cultural Council and Timothea or her staff. We agreed, that is the best route
 for him to take.
