TOWN OF CANTON 
PLANNING BOARD 
May 21, 2025 
Present: David McCarthy, Chair 
Jim Quigley, Vice Chair 
Sean Robinson, Member 
Also Present: Karen Lawlor, Administrative Assistant. 
Chair McCarthy called to order the Planning Board Meeting of May 21, 2025 at 6:30 P.M. 
A motion was made by Chair McCarthy and seconded Mr. Quigley to open the public meeting of May 21, 
2025. All in Favor, Motion Approved 3-0. 
Chair McCarthy welcomed everyone to the Planning Board meeting of May 21, 2025. We are meeting in 
the Salah Room at Memorial Hall and Canton Cable is broadcasting. 
A motion was made by Chair McCarthy and seconded Mr. Quigley to open Item #r, Interviews for 
Interim Planning Board Member. All in Favor, Motion Approved 3-0. 
First Item on the Agenda (1) Interviews with Interim Planning Board Applicants 
The Board interviewed two (2) Applicants to fill the opening for the Interim Planning Board member, 
until the election in April 2026. Nicholas Corkery was the first applicant to be interviewed and 
answered a few questions and explained he would like to volunteer and has more time now that his 
children are older, Tom Scully explained that he would like the position as an interim member. As a 
past Planning Board member and Chairman, he would like to help out the Board until the next election. 
The Board thanked the Applicants and explained that the Board will be having a joint meeting with the 
Select Board in June to vote on this issue. They also thanked both applicants for their time and 
application for this position. 
A motion was made by Chair McCarthy and seconded Mr. Quigley to Open Item #2, Minutes. All in 
Favor, Motion Approved 3-0. 
Next Item on the Agenda Item (2) Review & ADDroval of Mav v. 2025 
A motion was made by Mr. Quigley and seconded by Mr. Robinson to approve the Minutes of May 7, 
2025. All in favor, Motion Approved (3-0-). 
A Motion to Adjourn was made by Chair McCarthy and seconded by Mr. Quigley. All in 
Favor Motion Approved 3-0.
